Can you believe spring semester is almost over already?!
Here are a few things to make sure you do before you head out for the summer:
- Review your registration for summer/fall. Make sure everything looks correct and note which classes you might still be waitlisted for. Look at how the classes apply in degreeworks so you don’t have any surprises in the fall!
- Keep an eye on your GATECH email. All important communication about your account, registration, etc. will go to your official gatech.edu email. If you’re on a waitlist, you could get the notification any time while Phase I is open (through May 21).
- Plan for Phase II Registration. Planning to add a class in phase II of fall registration? Jot it down so you don’t forget between now and August.
- Check for any holds on your account. Log in to Buzzport and confirm you don’t have any holds, outstanding payments, or anything else that might be surprising or stressful when you return.
Taking summer classes at Tech? Check your degreeworks and make sure the classes you are registered for are counting toward the requirements you think they should.
Taking summer classes at another school? Confirm the classes transfer to Tech by using the Transfer Equivalency Charts. Don’t see the class you’re taking on the chart? Email me!
Studying abroad for the summer? Make sure you know what classes you are taking and how they will apply to your remaining degree requirements. Email me if you have any questions about this.
Pursuing an unpaid internship this summer? If it’s related to LMC then you may be able to get LMC class credit. Learn more about unpaid internships for LMC credit and speak with our internship advisor, Jillann Hertel.
Have a paid internship this summer? Register your internship with the Career Center as professional practice (but it will not count for class credit).
As always, email me with any questions or feel free to schedule a virtual appointment with me via Advisor Link!
